Apporter was envisioned as a high-end, travel production kit company for designers, with a focus on craftsmanship and customization. Derived from the French word for "to bring," Apporter aimed to create handmade kits that designers could take anywhere. Each kit would be tailored to individual tastes, featuring materials like leather, wood, or fabric chosen by the client, with custom options for monogramming and logo embossing. The curated contents could include essentials like pencils, markers, rulers, X-Acto knives, and field notes, creating a highly functional, personalized toolkit for the creative on the go.
To reflect the brand's design-focused ethos, the Apporter logo was developed using a vintage woodblock type, applied as a stamp to embody the handmade aesthetic. This approach lent a timeless, artisanal quality to the brand’s identity, emphasizing its dedication to craftsmanship. The packaging design continued this concept, balancing simplicity with elegance; the kits would arrive in sleek black boxes, subtly stamped with the silver "A" logo, giving an understated nod to the brand’s high-end appeal.
The prototype kit, crafted from faux ostrich leather and cherry wood, featured an embossed monogram to demonstrate the personalized approach Apporter would offer. Every detail, from material selection to product assembly, was meticulously planned to align with the brand’s luxury image. Final product photography highlighted these design choices, capturing the textures and finishes in a way that showcased Apporter’s commitment to quality and thoughtful design.
